Around 30,000 children in Uganda used to be forced to become soldiers. Eventhough, the is over now, many people are still traumatized from the impact of the war and the poverty that they live in. ChildVoice assists those people and give girls and children safe places to live in, counselling, education and vocational skills. Also, refugees that have fled from the civil war in South Sudan receive their help, as well. As the civil war and tribal conflicts still continue, since 2016, in South Sudan, people are fleeing for their lives to Uganda. Therefore ChildVoice is helping girls to get education and assists refugees with emotional healing, life skill training, hygiene classes and more. A group of terrorists, known as Boko Haram infamously kidnapped schoolgirls in 2014 and still attacks more places in the northeastern part country, while manipulating a religion that they claim to follow. At the mean time, Muslims and Christians aim to live together in peace, as many of them live in regions that are nearby each other, in Nigeria. Therefore, Child Voice helps the refugees, who escaped from Boko Haram and takes care of the traumatized people, which are mostly affected women and children. So, ChildVoice is trying their best to help people in Uganda, South Sudan and Nigeria, in order to provide a better future for the people and to relieve them physically and mentally.
